Position Overview 

The Head of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for building and leading the Bank’s end-to-end operational functions. The role ensures operational excellence across digital and branch banking, enabling scalable growth, strong governance, and consistently high-quality customer service. 

This is a founding leadership role. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and oversee all operational functions, including branches, digital channels, and back-office operations.
• Drive service excellence, turnaround times, and customer experience across all delivery channels.
• Ensure operational readiness for new products, platforms, and system implementations.
• Implement strong governance, operational controls, and compliance with Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) requirements.
• Coordinate execution across key functions including IT, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Credit, and Business.
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing operations teams.

Candidate Profile: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in banking or financial services, with senior leadership experience in operations
• Strong expertise in multi-channel operations, service delivery, and operational risk management 
• Experience in bank start-ups, transformation programmes, or operational build-outs is a strong advantage 
• Sound understanding of banking regulatory requirements 
• Must meet Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) fit-and-proper criteria
