Objective:
Mirus Media is hiring a dynamic, creative and trend-driven Social Media and Content Creator to manage and create content for a growing portfolio of client brands, from FMCG to lifestyle, sports and retail. You’ll work closely with our team to craft engaging, on-trend and localized content that connects with audiences and drives brand visibility. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, experimental and understands what good content looks (and feels) like on different platforms.
Scope of Work:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating and editing engaging short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, Vlogs, BTS Footage).
- Covering live events, campaigns and shoots through real-time Stories, Lives and social updates.
- Designing simple posts and visuals using Canva or similar tools when needed.
- Monitoring trends across platforms and suggesting ideas to keep client brand content fresh, relevant and engaging.
- Localizing global strategies: Adapting global trends and formats to suit the Maldivian audience.
- Collaborating with the internal creative and strategy team to execute campaigns, launches and social media initiatives.
Deliverables:
- Minimum agreed number of monthly posts, reels and story content (based on campaign or project scope).
- Monthly trend or moodboard with inspiration and suggested ideas.
- Real-time coverage of client campaigns/events when required.
- Monthly content performance summary with key insights, learnings and improvement suggestions.
Requirements:
Educational and Professional Background:
- Diploma, short course or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Design or a related field (preferred, but passion and proven skill is more important).
- 1-2 years experience in social media content creation (can be through personal projects, freelancing, internships or professional work).
- Experience managing personal, brand or project-based social accounts will be considered.
Skills and Tools:
- Comfortable and confident on camera - personal, engaging and relatable.
- Proficient with basic design/editing tools such as Canva, CapCut or equivalent apps for editing and visual creation.
- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok content styles, Stories, Live coverage and cross-platform posting.
- Passionate about trends, pop culture, meme culture and evolving digital lingo.
- Good sense of visual storytelling and ability to create engaging narratives in short formats.
- *Bonus: Knowledge of analytical tools (like Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, Meta Business Suite) to track content performance will be an added advantage.

Working Hours and Setup
While we offer a flexible and creative work culture with no rigid office hours, we do expect:
- Core availability from Sunday to Thursday, between 9AM - 4PM for team check-ins, content planning and client-related tasks.
- Increased activity or on-ground coverage during event days, campaign launches or content shoot days which may require longer or more spontaneous hours.
- Occasional in-person attendance when needed (for shoots, meetings, or activations).
- Most of your work can be done remotely or on-the-go, as long as you’re responsive, get things done and show results.

Compensation:
- Salary range: MVR 8,000 - 10,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
- Project-based or probationary period leading to full-time engagement available.
