RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
- Executing all processes related to payables and payments.
- Preparing and processing vendor invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with the internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for payment.
- Ensure adherence to payment terms and resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors.
- Cross-checking vendor invoices against payables to ensure they are correctly entered/posted into the proper ledger accounts and the Accounting System.
- Prepare and review accounts payable reports and analysis as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system.
- Conduct periodic vendor statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Ensuring that all payables and payments are made in a timely manner according to FDC’s policies and procedures.
- Assist in internal and external audit related to accounts payable.
- Ensure compliance with tax rulings, regulations, and laws in making payments.
- Ensuring that all documentation is fulfilled prior to making payments.
- Preparation and filing of payables and payments, and maintenance of all relevant information/documents in both digital and physical form (where appropriate), in accordance with FDC’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain accuracy of accounts payable journal and ledger.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
REQUIREMENTS
- MQA level 7 or 8 qualification in Accounting / Finance or any other relevant field with at least 1 year of overall experience in relevant
OR.
- MQA level 5 or 6 qualification in Accounting/Finance or any other relevant field with minimum 3 years overall experience in relevant
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Should be able to communicate fluently in Dhivehi and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, will be an added
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP systems such as Business Central and Quick Books will be an added advantage.
