Position Summary:
At managerial level the Investment Analyst will work closely with senior professionals in executing DIP’s core services; Investment and Fund management and Share Trading activities. This includes supporting pipeline development, fund deployment, and fundraising initiatives, while contributing to bond transactions, research, and compliance functions and share trading services.
The candidate must be prepared to operate within a lean team structure and collaborate across functions and seniority level, contributing actively to the agility and growth of the organization. This includes taking personal ownership of key responsibilities and ensuring hands-on execution of critical deliverables, rather than relying primarily on delegation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Fund Management and Investment Research
- Conduct detailed analysis of potential investments, including pipeline screening, due diligence, and financial modeling.
- Support fund performance tracking, valuation updates, and portfolio reporting.
- Assist in developing fund strategies and investment theses aligned with DIP’s objectives.
- Contribute to investor presentations, offering materials, and periodic performance updates.
- Monitor and analyze economic, sectoral, and capital market trends impacting fund activities.
Fundraising and Investor Relations
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing investor decks, marketing materials, and due diligence documentation.
- Assist in maintaining investor databases and CRM systems.
- Contribute to investor communications, fund reporting, and regulatory disclosures.
- Participate in market outreach and relationship management initiatives with institutional investors and partners.
Capital Markets and Bond Underwriting
- Support structuring, pricing, and documentation for bond offerings and private placements.
- Conduct issuer and credit analysis for fixed-income investments.
- Engage with counterparties, regulators, and advisors during transaction execution.
- Help build analytical frameworks for pricing, rating, and market benchmarking.
Share Trading
· Execute and settle trades, primarily in listed equities, and support trading of debt instruments.
· Monitor compliance with trading policies, investment mandates, and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain accurate trading records and coordinate with custodians, counterparties, and internal teams.
Compliance, Risk, and Governance
- Ensure adherence to fund policies, investment mandates, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with compliance monitoring, documentation, and internal control reviews.
- Contribute to ESG data collection and reporting standards across investments.
- Coordinate with auditors, custodians, and legal advisors as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; highly proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
- Bilingual fluency in Dhivehi and English for both professional correspondence and presentations.
- Sound understanding of investment principles, financial statements, and valuation methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple workstreams.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred experience:
- 1 - 2 years of experience prior experience or internship in investment management, banking, or corporate finance.
- Familiarity with fund operations, fundraising, or private market investing.
- Exposure to bond issuance, underwriting, or capital markets transactions.
- Understanding of compliance, AML/CFT, and investment reporting frameworks.
- Experience using analytical or data visualization tools such as Power BI, Python, or R.
