Position Overview

The Head of Finance is responsible for providing strategic leadership over the Bank’s finance, treasury, capital management, and financial governance functions. The role ensures financial integrity, sustainability, and full compliance with Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) regulations and international accounting standards.

This is a senior leadership role with direct exposure to the Board and regulators.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the Bank’s financial strategy and advise the CEO and Board on financial performance and risks
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, treasury, capital planning, and regulatory reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, MMA regulations, and statutory obligations
• Manage liquidity, capital adequacy, and financial risk exposures
• Strengthen internal financial controls and governance frameworks
• Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing finance team

Candidate Profile:

• Professional accounting qualification: CA, ACCA, CPA (mandatory)
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in banking or financial services, with senior leadership experience financial operations
• Strong expertise in treasury, capital management, and financial risk
• Sound understanding of banking regulatory requirements
• Must meet Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) fit-and-proper criteria
