POSITION: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES:
BOOKKEEPING:
- Record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
INVOICE PROCESSING:
- Generate and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
EXPENSE MANAGEMENT:
- Reconcile expense reports, verify receipts, and assist in managing employee reimbursements.
BANK RECONCILIATION:
- Reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
FINANCIAL DOCUMENTATION:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, invoices, and other relevant documents.
DATA ENTRY:
- Accurately input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
ASSISTANCE IN FINANCIAL REPORTING:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and other documentation as required.
BUDGET SUPPORT:
- Support the budgeting process by providing accurate and timely financial information.
COMMUNICATION:
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors for financial-related matters.
COMPLIANCE:
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
AUDIT SUPPORT:
- Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:
- Contribute to basic financial analysis and reporting as directed by senior finance staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or minimum 2 years experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is advantageous.
SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY:
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or others) and Microsoft Excel.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL:
- Meticulous attention to detail in data entry, documentation, and financial reporting.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
