Job Description

We are looking for suitable candidate to join our team as a web developer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Web App Development (Laravel)

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel framework)
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems
• Implement business logic, workflows, and system features based on requirements
• Optimise application performance and database efficiency
• Ensure clean, modular, and maintainable code structure

2. Frontend Integration & UI Support

• Integrate backend systems with frontend interfaces
• Work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support UI functionality
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure responsive and user-friendly interfaces
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness

3. Database Management & Optimization

• Design and manage relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
• Write efficient queries and optimise database performance
• Ensure data integrity, security, and proper indexing
• Handle migrations, backups, and database versioning

4. API Development & System Integration

• Develop RESTful APIs for internal and external system integration
• Integrate third-party services such as:
  • Payment gateways
  • CRM systems
  • External platforms
• Ensure secure authentication and data handling (JWT, OAuth where applicable)
• Maintain API documentation and version control

5. System Maintenance & Support

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
• Support system updates, bug fixes, and enhancements
• Monitor application performance and uptime
• Assist in deployment and release processes

Code Quality, Security & Best Practices

• Follow secure coding standards and Laravel best practices
• Conduct code reviews and participate in peer reviews
• Identify and fix vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development

Technical Skills

• Backend: PHP (Laravel)
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Database: MySQL / PostgreSQL
• Version Control: Git

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vue.js / React (basic to intermediate)
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrations
• Experience with Linux server environments
• Basic knowledge of cloud hosting (AWS / DigitalOcean)
• Understanding of SaaS product environments
