ABOUT HUBITS

Hubits is a business management platform built for restaurants and SMBs. We help businesses streamline their operations across food operations, finance, HR, sales, and more.

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a creative and motivated UI/UX Design Intern to join our product team on-site in Hulhumale'. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our suite of business management tools. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real product experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications across Hubits' product modules
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to translate requirements into polished designs
• Contribute to building and maintaining a consistent design system and component library
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and stakeholder input
• Support the team with visual design tasks including icons, illustrations, and marketing assets

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD)
• Understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centered design, and accessibility best practices
• A portfolio or samples of design work (academic projects, personal projects, or freelance work welcome)
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
• Good communication skills and ability to take and incorporate feedback
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment

 

NICE TO HAVE

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and how designs translate to code
• Experience with design systems or component-based design
• Familiarity with motion design or micro-interactions
• Interest in AI-powered products and B2B SaaS
