The Sales Manager is responsible for driving investor acquisition, promoting the company’s investment products, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role focuses on generating sales leads, onboarding investors, conducting product presentations, and supporting basic marketing and social media activities to enhance visibility and brand communication
The candidate must be prepared to operate within a lean team structure and collaborate across functions and seniority level, contributing actively to the agility and growth of the organization. This includes taking personal ownership of key responsibilities and ensuring hands-on execution of critical deliverables, rather than relying primarily on delegation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales & Investor Relations
Identify and engage prospective investors for the company’s investment products and funds.
Promote investment offerings through client meetings, sales presentations, events, and outreach activities.
Provide clear and accurate information on investment options and related risks.
Build and maintain long-term relationships to support client retention and satisfaction.
Track investor inquiries, leads, follow-ups, and sales progress using company systems.
Marketing, Social Media & Brand Communication
Support day-to-day marketing activities that help promote the company’s products and services.
Assist in creating simple content for social media, digital platforms, and promotional materials.
Manage routine updates on social media channels and coordinate basic website updates.
Participate in brand-building activities, events, and promotional campaigns.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to develop marketing materials aligned with brand guidelines.
Market Research & Business Development Support
Conduct basic research on market trends, investor preferences, and competitor products.
Prepare simple reports and insights to support sales planning and management decisions.
Assist in identifying new business leads, partnerships, and distribution opportunities.
Support the rollout and promotion of new investment products and initiatives.
Administrative & Reporting
Facilitate client onboarding, documentation, and sales completion processes.
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and marketing activity reports.
Maintain updated databases of leads, investor details, marketing content, and campaign records.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements related to sales and marketing of financial products.
Assist in organizing events, exhibitions, and promotional activities when required.
Required Qualifications & Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field.
Additional training or certifications in sales, investment advisory, or financial products is an advantage.
3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or client servicing roles—preferably in financial services, banking, insurance, or investment-related industries.
Experience conducting sales presentations and engaging with clients professionally.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in client-facing situations.
Ability to negotiate, influence, and close sales effectively.
Understanding of basic marketing and customer behaviour principles.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with social media platforms and design tools is an advantage.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
Remuneration:
Salary: MVR 22,000 to 30,000 (Depending on qualification and experience.)
