Job Description

Job Summary

The Reception Staff is responsible for providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for all clients visiting the salon and spa. The role involves managing appointments, handling customer inquiries, processing payments, maintaining client records, and supporting the daily operations of the salon to ensure exceptional customer service and smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Operations

  • Welcome and assist clients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage salon and spa appointments, bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, social media messages, and customer inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate client records and appointment schedules.
  • Coordinate client flow to ensure timely service delivery.

Customer Service

  • Provide information about salon and spa services, promotions, and products.
  • Handle customer feedback, concerns, and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure clients have a pleasant and positive experience from arrival to departure.
  • Promote salon services and encourage repeat business.

Cashiering & Administration

  • Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
  • Prepare daily sales reports and reconcile cash collections.
  • Issue receipts and maintain transaction records.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of salon supplies when required.
  • Maintain filing systems and administrative records.

Salon Support

  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Coordinate with stylists, therapists, and technicians regarding appointments and client requirements.
  • Assist management with marketing campaigns, customer databases, and promotional activities.
  • Support general salon operations as directed by management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, hospitality, retail, or salon operations is preferred.
  • Experience handling cash and payment transactions is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and appointment scheduling systems.
