Job Overview:
We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage the procurement of goods and services for the company. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, vendor management, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source products and suppliers based on company needs.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and track purchase orders, ensuring timely approval and delivery.
- Communicate with suppliers and resolve issues related to orders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update internal systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure purchased goods meet quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory/purchasing software.
- Knowledge of vendor management, procurement procedures, and inventory control.
