Position Title: Occupational Therapist (full-time or part-time, local or expatriate)

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Occupational Therapist will play a crucial role in assessing, treating, and supporting patients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions that impact their daily functioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy techniques and a passion for helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs related to daily activities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and independence.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including activity adaptation, skill development, and environmental modifications.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, techniques, and strategies to support recovery and daily living.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, doctors, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Promote awareness about occupational health and safety and participate in community health education initiatives.
- Adhere to safety, hygiene, and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical or community settings treating a variety of physical, mental, or developmental conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques, activity modification, and assistive devices.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, cognitive processes, and environmental adaptations.
