Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in IT systems, hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting customer IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and secure day-to-day operations for our team and clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to employees and clients via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Assist with software installations, upgrades, and configurations.

Network & System Maintenance:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Perform regular system updates, security patches, and backups.
- Support cloud-based services and virtual environments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot both wired and wireless networks.

Hardware & Software Management:
- Install, maintain, and repair computer systems, servers, and peripherals.
- Ensure hardware components are functioning properly and upgrade or replace parts as necessary.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
- Implement security protocols to protect company data and systems.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining firewalls, antivirus, and other security measures.
- Identify and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of technical support requests and resolutions.
- Assist in creating user guides, FAQs, and other IT-related documentation for internal use.
- Report system performance and any technical issues to the IT Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field would be an Advantage.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services, virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
