Position Summary
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the finance team and all financial functions related to the Maldives Integrated Foreign Placement System (MIFPS). The role demands strong leadership, excellent knowledge of local tax and financial regulations, and the ability to implement sound financial strategies to support the organization’s mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the MIFPS finance team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for MIFPS operations
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and audits
- Ensure timely submission and full compliance with MIRA and other regulatory bodies
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
- Provide financial insights and reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, external auditors, and government authorities as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s/CPA/ACCA highly preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Maldives tax regulations, IFRS, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting and finance software (QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Experience in government-related or regulatory environments is an added advantage
