Job Description

Location: Lonumedhu Test Kitchen & Office, Male’ City

Job Timing: 9am to 1pm, Sun-Thurs

Renumeration: MVR 7000 (includes basic salary and living allowance)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Excellent writing and editing skills in both Dhivehi and English

Proven ability to craft engaging, light-hearted, feel-good articles

Strong proofreading and editing skills across blog posts, recipes, social media, and multimedia content

Familiarity with recipe formatting, food writing, and culinary terminology

Experience with content management systems (CMS) or ability to learn quickly with training

Basic image editing skills for resizing and optimizing content visuals

Solid understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)

Confidence to attend local events and conduct professional interviews

Attention to detail in cross-checking translations, video scripts, photo captions, and recipe content

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Self-motivated and responsible, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

 

Requirements:

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in writing, editing, content creation, or a similar role (freelance or part-time work counts)

Strong command of both written Dhivehi and English

Ability to write and edit in a friendly, approachable tone

Experience managing or creating content for social media platforms

Comfortable working with deadlines and editorial guidelines

Basic understanding of food and recipe writing preferred

Familiarity with using phones or cameras to take good quality content is a plus
