Job Description

Assistant Warehouse Manager is a vital part of the supply chain process and oversees the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods while supervising the staff. Working closely with various departments,

 

• Should plan the arrangements of goods with the warehouse and organize the goods accordingly to the warehouse policy.
• Responsible and follow up the Delivery of orders to cash & credit customers according to the delivery order and delivery schedule.
• Check the quality and expiry of items prior to loading for delivery.
• Coordinate deliveries with sales team to ensure smooth delivery operation.
• Make sure to deliver the correct items according to the customers’ requirement and if any returns by the customer’s to be responsible and bear the cost.
• Make sure to monitor and update the Temperature charts of Freezers and chillers daily even if it is a holiday.
• Supply of goods to Fantasy Store and Bakery.
• Supervise and look after warehouse laborers and staff necessities/issues and keep a record of leave and absent days.
• Receiving and storing air freight shipments in the proper method and place
• Storage of food items according to the HACCP policies.
• Reporting any faults in containers to technician/management and follow up accordingly.
• Responsible of all vehicle maintenance and reporting any faults in vehicles to Admin & Maintenance and Management
• Preparing space in containers for any new shipment and arranging all warehouse procedures like communicating to warehouse staff, drivers, and laborers.
• Once the shipment arrives, should check and tally the quantity, expiry, quality of goods and inform damaged/ spoiled product details to the Procurement Department on the same day same time.
• Grant the written approval by the Management before disposing of any items in warehouses.
• Monitor and check the stock balance at the end of every month and update the records accordingly to place the order.
• Monitor and check the Expiry of items and list out expiries 03 months prior for Management perusal.
• Should thoroughly monitor the fast and low moving items and place the orders before the shortage of items.
• Follow up and check the stock balance product vise and prepare the final report according to the respective product.
• Undertake and carry out any other duties/responsibilities upon HODs request.
