Job Purpose
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities to ensure smooth execution. This role involves tracking project progress, preparing reports, managing documentation, and assisting with communication between contractors, suppliers, and the project team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
- Monitor project progress and help ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and updates for management and clients.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients.
- Help manage project budgets, materials, and resources.
- Support in solving on-site issues and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related field.
- Experience in project coordination or site work is an advantage.
- Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read drawings and understand project schedules.
- Basic knowledge of project management tools/software is a plus.
- Ability to use AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
