Key tasks, responsibilities, and deliverables:
- Process day-to-day accounting and treasury transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain the accounting system and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with approved accounting standards.
- Prepare and process payments, invoices, receipts, journals, and other financial documents.
- Perform timely bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
- Manage petty cash transactions and ensure periodic reconciliation with the accounting system.
- Maintain accurate records of investments, loan portfolio transactions, and fund portfolio activities.
- Support the administration of customer repayment processes, including preparation of repayment reminders and direct debit processing.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and regulatory reports within established timelines.
- Assist in cash flow monitoring, liquidity management, and financial forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of departmental and organizational budgets.
- Ensure all accounting records and financial reports comply with applicable accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective internal controls and identify, report, and escalate any financial control weaknesses or irregularities.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, standard operating procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audits and management reporting.
- Respond promptly to internal and external queries relating to finance and treasury operations.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing accurate information and required documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments, financial institutions, and other stakeholders on finance-related matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Perform any other finance and treasury-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- MQA level 5 or 6 qualification of Finance / Banking with Minimum 02-year experience in relevant field.
Other Competencies required:
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Professional experience as an accountant and expert proficiency in using accounting software’s will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry will be an advantage.

Working Hours:
- The selected applicant will be required to work from 0800 to 1600 on weekdays.
