Job Description

Background

Leo Stores and Supply Private Limited plays a key role in ensuring the consistent availability of 
construction, marine, hardware, and equipment materials for projects across the Maldives. As a 
company handling high volumes of inventory and transactions, maintaining accurate financial records 
is essential to support its supply chain operations and strategic procurement efforts. With a 
strong commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency, the Accounts & Finance Department 
ensures financial accountability, cost control, and compliance across all transactions. The 
Assistant Accountant will contribute to these efforts by supporting daily accounting activities and 
ensuring timely and accurate financial documentation.

Purpose of the Role
The Accounts Assistant supports the Accounts & Finance Department by assisting in day-to-day 
accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of
payments and reconciliations.


Key Responsibilities
Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions Support monthly, quarterly, and 
annual closing activities
Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation Prepare bank and cash reconciliations
Verify and track invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes Support internal and external audits
Collaborate with logistics, procurement teams and other teams for financial documentation
Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance and/or Chief Financial Officer

Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
One of the following qualifications is required:
o Completed GCE A’ Level with passes in at least 3 subjects, preferably in the Business stream

o Foundation in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field

o Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience
Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

The following skills will be considered as added advantages
o Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel

o Proficiency in accounting software such as e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Odoo etc

o Strong attention to detail and accuracy

o Good organizational and time-management skills
