Job Description

At AEON, we are making the Maldives diesel-free for the benefit of its people and the environment. We're looking for a driven and capable professional to help lead our technical support team, playing a critical role in helping the Maldives adopt sustainable energy solutions.

      1.Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot technical issues in the field and support agents when problems arise.
• Develop and deliver training and certification programmes for installers and maintenance agents, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet company standards and perform effectively.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement both immediate fixes and long-term solutions to ensure smooth and sustainable operations.
• Improve internal procedures, checklists, and workflows for safe and consistent installations.
• Test and evaluate new components (e.g. smart meters, inverters) and create practical documentation and setup materials for new technologies. Review technical standards and manuals to support rollout of new system versions.
• Provide structured feedback to the UK team on system performance and usability.

      2.You could be a fit if:

• You have strong hands-on experience with solar PV systems and inverter-based setups.
• You’re confident with electrical systems, safety standards, and product documentation.
• You’re methodical, independent, and committed to doing things properly.
• You’re comfortable training others and communicating clearly in both Dhivehi and English.
• You’re willing to sometimes travel between islands and be available sometimes in non-working hours to solve timely technical issues.
