Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician specializing in solar panel installations to join our growing team. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing solar panel installations, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards. Your expertise in solar technology and installation techniques will be crucial in mentoring and guiding junior technicians. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and supervise a team of technicians in the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations.
2. Assess project requirements, conduct site surveys, and develop installation plans in collaboration with project managers and engineers.
3. Install, connect, and test solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and electrical components, following manufacturer guidelines and applicable electrical codes.
4. Coordinate and schedule project activities to ensure timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
5. Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on installation techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.
6. Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
7. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and sales, to provide technical support, offer input on system design, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
8. Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to solar panel installations.
9. Maintain accurate records of project details, equipment inventory, and maintenance activities.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the team.
