Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) PLC, established in January 2004, is the only specialized housing finance institution in the Maldives. HDFC is a privatized company with International Shareholders represented by the International Finance Corporation (IFC of World Bank Group), Asian Development Bank, and HDFC Bank Ltd. of India, jointly holding 51% of shares.

 

Job Title:  Senior Officer, Accounts

Department: Accounts

Job Type: Contract (Full-Time)

Term of Contract: 12 months (Based on performance employee will be given a permanent contract)

Job Description

Financial Documentation

• Generate customer receipts, statements, and invoices.
• Contribute to the monthly closing of books to ensure accurate financial records.

Reconciliation and Reporting

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Assist in preparing performance reports, management accounts, and compliance reports under the guidance of the Head of Finance.

Systems Implementation

• Support the successful implementation and integration of the ERP system to enhance financial operations.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirement

• GCE A’ Level or Diploma in Accounting/Business Management.

Experience

• 2 years of work experience in a related field.
• Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.

Skills

• Understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
• Collaborates effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dhivehi.

Salary:  Salary ranging from MVR 15,000 to 17,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Working Hours: The selected candidate will be required to work from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs. from Sunday – Thursday.
