The Opportunity

We are looking for an entry-level Self-Service Solutions Engineer with an interest in IT systems and hands-on technical work. In this role, you will support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of self-service and IT-enabled systems, working alongside experienced engineers and interacting with clients on-site. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with effective interpersonal communication and good time management. This position is well suited for a recent graduate or early-career IT professional looking to build practical experience in field engineering and system support.

Your job responsibilities include:

System Deployment & Configuration

  • Assist the engineering team in assessing site requirements and preparing for new installations.
  • Support the installation and configuration of systems, including staging, setup, and integration.
  • Perform routine testing to confirm functionality and compliance with technical standards.
  • Help conduct basic client training sessions on system operation and maintenance.

Field Service & System Management

  • Assist in on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for client equipment.
  • Identify and report equipment issues and escalate complex faults to senior engineers.
  • Maintain proper care and tracking of tools, spare parts, and service materials.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Maldivian islands for scheduled maintenance and urgent field support

Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate service records, including field visit logs, maintenance reports, and checklists.
  • Provide regular updates on service activities and report technical findings to senior staff.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing on-site experiences with the technical team.

Client Relationship & Support

  • Represent PiNetworks professionally during field visits and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Gather feedback from customers regarding system performance and service delivery
  • Support the team in maintaining positive, long-term relationships with clients.
