Position Purpose:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations on campus, ensuring safety and security standards are maintained, and assisting the Operations Manager in managing security personnel and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day security operations.
- Conduct briefings at the start of each shift to inform Security Officers of relevant safety and security matters.
- Schedule security personnel to cover designated facilities and shifts efficiently.
- Patrol assigned areas to check for fires, vandalism, suspicious activities, safety hazards, or unauthorized persons.
- Respond promptly to alarms and dispatched calls, taking appropriate actions based on the situation and assigned authority.
- Conduct surprise inspections to ensure all Security Officers are at their assigned posts.
- Take responsibility for all incidents during their shift and prepare detailed reports.
- Train new Security Officers on security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Fill duty posts in cases of staff shortages due to absenteeism, sick leave, or other emergencies.
- Follow instructions from senior management in compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have a background in security operations or related experience.
- Strong knowledge of security policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ability to supervise, train, and coordinate security personnel.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to respond to emergencies effectively.
- Strong reporting, communication, and leadership skills.
Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Operations - Security Manager and coordinates with other relevant departments as needed.
