Must report on time to work in clean uniform and neat appearance according to resort standards.
Ensure that all associates are always in proper uniform according to their uniform style and that appropriate standards of hygiene are maintained.
Must be able to exhibit strong supervisory skills.
Must maintain a high degree of excellence in sanitation and maintenance of Guest Rooms, all outlets, all Administration offices and all Public areas, Front and Back of the House areas and take timely routine checks in all areas.
Must be able to handle situations which may develop requiring immediate attention.
Must establish and maintain effective employee relations and ensure accurate flow of communication in and between departments.
Must ensure lost and found items are turned directly into the Housekeeping store on daily basis and are not left behind overnight.
Must complete any special assignment or accomplish special projects directed by the Senior Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeper.
Must check respective Housekeeping Room boys and Head Room boys before they go off duty, if work assigned has been completed and all equipment has been cleaned, pantries and carts set up and tidy.
Housekeeping Supervisor must do a proper hand over of their respective shifts.
Responsible for facility of cleaning & ironing of guest’s laundry.
Must assisting inventory of Housekeeping linen and uniforms.
Must be able to control and make inventory of all guests and cleaning supplies to ensure that they are sufficient and at the same time reduce wastes wherever possible.
Must have full knowledge of all types of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
During absence of Housekeeper must be able to make weekly schedule for Housekeeping employees and to follow the changes of occupancy of the resort / hotel on a daily base or if requested.
Must attend all meetings in the absence of Housekeeper or if requested.
Must take full care of Housekeeping department in the absence of Senior Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeper or if requested.
Supervise the care of greeneries according to the Maafushivaru Island Resort standards. Take special care of the greeneries when is needed.
Ensure that utensils and equipment are stored in a suitable place and handled carefully an all areas & in the stores. Supervise their correct usage, that is, they should only be used for the purpose they are designed for.
Train associates to follow the rules without exemptions. Monitor work and overall behavior of all the housekeeping employees.
Co-ordinate very closely with the Maintenance department.
Report all damages to the Maintenance department, Housekeeper.
Maintain good relationship with all the Housekeeping employees.
Must inform the Housekeeper about tardiness, laziness, incorrect behavior, punctuality, and break time schedules of the department employees.
Ensure effectiveness of the Housekeeping department as support of the resort operation in any matter.
Cooperate with all resorts / hotel departments regarding all housekeeping matters (especially with the Front Office Department).
Maintain friendly relationship with guests.
Ensure that 2 times a day a briefing is held: Morning and Evening during absence of the Housekeeper.
