We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to support the procurement function by sourcing quality products, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source products and suppliers based on company requirements
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for cost-effectiveness and quality
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Track purchase orders from placement through to delivery
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding shipping schedules and delivery status
- Resolve issues related to delayed, damaged, or incorrect deliveries
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and update the vendor database
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update procurement systems
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing documentation
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office and purchasing or ERP software
- Knowledge of vendor management, inventory control, and procurement best practices
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
