Job Description

Medius Diagnostics Private Limited is seeking a Pain Specialist to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide highest quality of care making critical decisions and leading on clinic issues within a person-centered care model.

 Work Location: Male’, Republic of Maldives

 Duties and Responsibilities:          

Assess and treat patients in accordance with best practice standards and all applicable regulatory standards for pain management.

Recommend tests to determine extent of pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain.

Provide relief from acute or chronic pain through the use of medications, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation of other therapies.

Provide evidence-informed medical and/or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.

Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform interventions if required.

Participate in collaborative care with multidisciplinary interventional pain management team.

Report regularly to the Medical Director and work closely with the Clinic Manager, Executive Team, and Patient Access Team.

Requirements and Qualification:

M.D. Degree, Board Eligible or Board-Certified Physician or Aanesthetist.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

Additional qualifications in pain management highly desired.

Minimum one year experience in Pain Management.

Experience in ultrasound guided and C-Arm guided pain treatments and procedures desired.

Minimum 2 or more years of experience in a hospital or private clinic environment preferred. 

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English to provide instructions to patients, clinical staff, operations support teams and specialists.

Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and clinic staff.
