Job Description

General Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing &/or Master’s Degree in Nursing
Additional certification in Operating Theatre specialization an advantage
Registered Nurse at a Licensing Authority
Minimum 7 years in nursing practice and minimum 2 years’ experience in theater management
Demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills and experience related to Operation Theater
Ability to plan and prioritize
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Specification

Ensure safe and efficient management of the Operating Theatre
Planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services of the Operation Theater
Smooth functioning of the Operation Theater including staffing, equipment and use of resources ensuring optimal functioning of the theatres
Actively strive to develop multidisciplinary communication, collaboration and teamwork
Demonstrate leadership skills and ensure the highest standard of clinical practice
Ensure performance indicators pertinent to the Operating Theatre Department are monitored and maintained, including CSSD and PACU.
Actively participates in evaluating quality within the department and represents the department at the Quality, Risk and Safety meetings
Manage and evaluate the implementation of the service plan and budget
