Position Available: Network & Infrastructure Engineer

 

NATIONALITY – MALDIVIAN

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

• Diploma or equivalent in related field.
• Excellent communication skills both spoken and written.
• Experience in related field
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Hardworking with the capacity to work long and odd hours.
• A team player, able to work independently and adhere to tight reporting deadlines.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

• Strategy and Planning:

 

• Collaborate with department on long-term network capacity needs.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.

 

• Acquisition & Deployment:

 

• Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks that comprises of servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in order to be adapt to current developments in the industry.
• Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.

 

• Operational Management:

 

• Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling Hospital objectives and processes.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Execute installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network devices.
• Manage servers, including database, e-mail, printers, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Participate in managing all network security solutions.
• Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.
• Perform daily helpdesk operational activities

 

• Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time.
