Job Description

• Determine the appropriate tool, equipment or method based on requirements for maintenance activities in the terminal
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
• Repair machinery and other components
• Demonstrate the ability to work alone or in a team and demonstrating techniques to apprentices and occasionally assisting other trades and contractors when required
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Operations, and other Maintenance staff
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe, environmentally compliant, and cost-effective manner
• Do preventive maintenance inspections based on the checklists provided
