Job Description
Determine the appropriate tool, equipment or method based on requirements for maintenance activities in the terminal
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
Repair machinery and other components
Demonstrate the ability to work alone or in a team and demonstrating techniques to apprentices and occasionally assisting other trades and contractors when required
Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Operations, and other Maintenance staff
Ensure all work is completed in a safe, environmentally compliant, and cost-effective manner
Do preventive maintenance inspections based on the checklists provided
