Job Description

Job Summary:

The Lecturer in Business Management will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic support in the field of Business Management. The lecturer will contribute to the academic and professional development of students and actively engage in research, industry collaboration, and institutional development activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Learning

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, and workshops in Business Management and related subjects.

• Prepare course materials, assignments, assessments, and exams in line with the approved syllabus.

• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

• Conduct continuous assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.

2. Academic Support

• Guide and mentor students in academic performance, career paths, and research projects.

• Supervise undergraduate or postgraduate dissertations, group projects, and internships.

• Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure relevance and quality.

3. Research & Industry Engagement

• Engage in academic research, industry projects, or consultancy relevant to Business Management.

• Attend and present at academic and professional conferences and seminars.

• Foster links with industry professionals to align teaching with market needs.

4. Quality Assurance & Institutional Contribution

• Maintain accurate records of teaching and assessments as per institutional requirements.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of programs through participation in quality assurance processes.

• Actively participate in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional events.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Business Management, MBA, or a closely related field (PhD preferred).

• Relavent teaching experience at the tertiary level or equivalent industry experience.

• Strong knowledge in areas such as Management Principles, Strategic Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.

• Familiarity with outcome-based education and digital learning platforms.
