Position Title: Speech Therapist (full-time or part-time, local or expatriate)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Speech Therapist will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy techniques and a passion for helping patients improve their communication abilities and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ speech, language, communication, and swallowing functions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing function.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy exercises, strategies, and techniques to support ongoing progress.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including audiologists, physiotherapists, and physicians, to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech therapy.
- Promote awareness about speech and communication health within the community and participate in health education initiatives.
- Adhere strictly to safety, hygiene, and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or registration to practice as a Speech Therapist is preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical or community settings treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in using modern speech therapy tools, equipment, and technology.
- Knowledge of various therapy approaches and techniques for diverse patient populations.
