Position Title: Counsellor (full-time or part-time, local or expatriate)

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Counsellor will play a vital role in providing psychological support, assessment, and therapeutic interventions to individuals facing emotional, mental, or behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong counseling skills, a patient-centered approach, and a passion for promoting mental well-being and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct confidential assessments to understand clients’ emotional and mental health concerns.
- Provide individual, group, or family counseling sessions based on client needs.
- Develop personalized therapeutic plans and interventions to support clients’ mental health and emotional well-being.
- Offer guidance and coping strategies to help clients manage stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues.
- Monitor client progress regularly and modify therapeutic approaches as needed.
- Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, self-care techniques, and available support resources.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in counseling and mental health.
- Promote mental health awareness within the community and participate in health education initiatives.
- Adhere to strict ethical standards, confidentiality, safety, and hygiene protocols, ensuring professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or registration to practice as a Counselor or Psychologist is preferred.
- Proven experience in clinical or community mental health settings.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused with a non-judgmental attitude.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques, mental health assessments, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues, behavioral management, and therapeutic modalities.
