Role and Responsibilities
- Deputize for the accountable manager in his absence.
- Support the accountable manager in making the vision for the organization a reality.
- Support the accountable manager in ensuring safe and reliable operation of AIA including the following key areas: Airside operations, Landside operations, Safety, Security, Regulatory compliance, Quality assurance, Change management, RFFS Maintenance cargo operations, fuel provision, commercial planning, product development and customer service delivery.
- Lead the execution of strategies developed or jointly developed by the Accountable Manager.
- Serve as a change agent for specific projects, major organizational change and planned rapid expansion.
- Develop close working relationships with department to improve service delivery.
- Communicate the company’s vision and corporate goals and objectives and ensure that all managers and staff understand the vision and align their day-to-day activities to the corporate.
- Responsible for delivering results on a day-to-day basis.
- Obtain results through a clear focus on goals and accountability, communications, and knowledge of the business.
- Ensure the airport has the correct operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures.
- Ensure that all operational issues reported through Centrik are acted on and addressed successfully.
- Oversee all operation areas in terms of efficiency and performance. Carry out annual operations managers’ performance appraisals.
- Any other duties and projects as may be assigned by the Accountable Manager.
Requirement/Experience
- Master’s Degree in Airport Management or a related field combined with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of management experience (at senior level) in a certified airport or an airline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Airport Management or a related field combined with 10 years of senior management experience.
- Minimum 15 years of extensive knowledge and senior Management Experience
