Purpose of the Role
The ELV Technician is responsible for the hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and other security systems. The role supports the ELV Engineer in ensuring all systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain ELV systems (CCTV, access control, PA systems, etc.).
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Install and terminate cables, including copper and fiber optic.
- Mount and configure cameras, access control devices, and related hardware.
- Assist in preparing material requests and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and respond to service calls.
- Follow safety and quality standards during all installations and repairs.
- Support the ELV Engineer in project execution and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ELV system installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of analog and IP-based CCTV systems, access control, and structured cabling.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office tools.
