Job Description

Surgicare Clinic is seeking a responsible and hardworking Attendant to support the daily cleaning, patient support, laundry, and clinical support activities of the clinic. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of nurses, supervisors, and clinic management to maintain a clean, safe, and patient-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect clinical areas, treatment rooms, patient areas, toilets, equipment, furniture, beds, trolleys, wheelchairs, and other clinic facilities.
• Assist in the safe handling and disposal of biohazardous and clinical waste according to prescribed procedures.
• Support nurses and clinical staff in patient care areas as instructed.
• Assist in moving patients within the clinic when required, under the guidance of clinical staff.
• Clean and prepare beds, patient areas, and service areas on a daily basis.
• Wash, clean, separate, and manage reusable items, linen, and laundry items used in clinical areas.
• Assist in disinfecting tools, equipment, and clinical items according to clinic procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic surroundings, office areas, cupboards, shelves, sockets, and common areas.
• Prepare rooms and areas for clinic activities, meetings, or events when required.
• Report damaged equipment, shortage of supplies, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Assist in errands such as delivering letters, collecting items, or checking prices for clinic-related purchases when instructed.
• Follow patient confidentiality rules and protect patient information at all times.
• Support clinic operations during emergencies, health alerts, pandemics, or urgent situations.
• Properly hand over completed and pending work to the next duty staff before leaving the shift.
• Carry out any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor, nurses, or clinic management.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a clinic, hospital, cleaning, laundry, or patient support environment.
• Minimum primary education.
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to understand spoken Dhivehi.

Working Hours

• Working Days: Saturday to Thursday
• Weekly Rest Day: Friday
• Weekly Working Hours: 36 hours
• Shift 1: 09:00 - 16:00
• Shift 2: 16:00 - 23:00
• Break: Each shift includes one paid rest break of thirty (30) minutes.
