General Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent
A minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience working in a radiology practice
At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in Radiology Department in an acute-care hospital
Ability to work with various imaging modalities including CT scanner
Knowledge and high level of competence in other specialist procedures (e.g. General X-Ray, Angiography or MRI, and Ultrasound)
Proven experience in administration and supervision of staff
Strong clinical background with outstanding leadership and communication skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills
Good command of spoken and written English
Job Specification
Prepare staffing schedules and duty assignments for technicians
Coordinate educational programs in the department and participates in-service education programs for other hospital personnel
Appraise and counsel employees in regards to performance, conduct attendance and other related matters
Assist the Radiologist in formulating improved programs for faster and better service to the guests
Direct and coordinate operational activities of radiology department and be accountable for maintaining high quality and efficient service, technical aspects and customer service
Ensure guests care during medical imaging for optimal diagnostic purpose of advanced nature
Responsible for radiographic quality assurance and in carrying out the radiation-safety manager role
Provide professional support and precise advice to patients, radiographers, nurses and other allied health professionals
Investigate and take appropriate actions in accordance to hospital policy regarding complaints and/or incidents
Help ensure all hospital policies are up to date and information is disseminated to staff
Prepare departmental statistics and various reports
Perform clerical as well as management duties when needed
Recommend and direct procurement of supplies and equipment, responsible for proper storage and utilization of such materials and perform weekly store checking and requisitions
Responsible for testing and evaluation of new equipments, products and reports on their application to the hospital administration
Responsible for monitoring all Radiology machines or instruments and reports promptly any malfunction or breakdown
Maintain administrative control of the Diagnostic and Imaging services
Completion of other related tasks as directed by the COO
