Job Description
Conducts daily rounds to different units
Ensure proper stock availability of drugs and consumables
Prepare and review the process of inventory indenting, receipt and forwarding in the Hospital Information System
Plan and execute the implementation of Quality Standards as applicable to the Pharmacy Department in accordance with the provisions of the Pharmaceutical Laws
Ensure safe storage and accurate dispensing of the medications for the treatment of outpatient, inpatient and in the emergency department
Ensure all measures to prevent or minimize the incidence of Adverse Drug reactions with specific reference to high risk drugs, LASA drugs.
Ensure removal of short expiry drugs from the pharmacy and other patient care areas on a regular basis
Liaise with clinicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to ensure safe, effective and economical use of drugs for the patients
