Job Description

Navigating and operating the boat.

Ensuring safety equipment is in place and up to date.

Inspecting the boat to ensure efficient and safe operation of the vessel and equipment and their conformity to regulations.

Overseeing the work of the crew and assigning duties.

Managing the boat's maintenance and repairs.

Maintaining contact with the Coast Guard about weather conditions and port procedures.

Maintaining all onboard equipment, and keeping detailed records of daily activities, personnel reports, boat positions and movements, weather conditions, passenger and cargo status.
