About the Role:
LuxRise Maldives Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and professional Boat Captain to operate and manage our 50ft Cabo Yacht, primarily for luxury fishing charters and private excursions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, delivering exceptional guest experiences while upholding the highest standards of safety, navigation, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate the vessel safely during charters, fishing trips, and maintenance runs.
- Ensure full compliance with Maldivian maritime laws, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Supervise crew members and coordinate activities onboard, including fishing operations, guest service, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain vessel readiness, cleanliness, and mechanical functionality, ensuring all safety equipment is in place and functional.
- Conduct briefings and debriefings with guests to ensure safety and enhance the overall experience.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly to ensure passenger safety.
- Keep accurate logs, maintenance records, and voyage reports.
- Represent LuxRise Maldives in a professional and friendly manner to all guests and partners.
Requirements:
- Valid Maldivian Boat Captain License (or equivalent international certification recognized in Maldives).
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating yachts or fishing vessels, preferably in the Maldives or tropical waters.
- Proven knowledge of marine navigation, vessel systems, and fishing techniques (big game fishing is a plus).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; other language skills (e.g., Italian) are an advantage.
- Strong understanding of guest service and hospitality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Familiarity with electronic navigation and fishing equipment
- Knowledge of local fishing spots and marine biodiversity
