Assistant Site Manager works directly under the Site Manager and is involved in planning as well as daily operations for both land and lagoon. The assistant manager must lead the team who operates on a per project basis and rely on the management for vision, design communication and schedule.
The assistant site manager must be knowledgeable of construction and all safety regulations. This role is responsible for motivating and managing the staff and in a firm but positive manner.
Responsibilities: This position will involve a combination of executing: Monthly Maintenance and Work Orders:
Manages a system to ensure regular monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance task accomplishment Overseeing all equipment and vehicle maintenance
Ensuring all SOP’s are followed and checklists are submitted
Inventory and Sourcing:
Sources items needed in advance based on the regular meetings with team and management Keeps track of current inventory and works to provide material in advance
Leadership and Communication:
Attends daily planning meetings with other managers to review site goals
Constantly monitoring and involved in the hands-on work to hit goals and motivate the teams Daily meetings with staff to discuss action plans, staffing, materials, and other needs
Weekly meetings with supervisor and team leads to review the week’s progress
Sets schedules, role descriptions, and clear expectations with staff
Project Planning and Management:
Assists Site Manager in planning project schedules and budgets for land and lagoon Manages, motivates and directs team members to accomplish tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications and Skills Required
Must have strong written and verbal skills in Dhivehi and English
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and other Windows platforms.
Ability to persistently monitor both schedule and spending of company funds
Highly motivated worker, with the ability to adjust plans as needed to reach our goals Have a strong ability to work well in a team and yet be productive with individual work 3-5 years experience in a construction trade
Strong recommendation from colleagues, previous boss, or mentor
