Job Description

Job Responsibilities of an Accounts Clerk

1.Handling petty cash, overseeing daily operations such as preparing vouchers and cheques, and filing records on the same day.

2.Depositing daily cash and cheques into the bank, verifying the same before entering and filing.

3.Maintaining records of foreign purchases and foreign payments on a daily basis and updating the same into the systems.

Qualifications:

An O' Level pass or its equivalent is required.

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.

Strong mathematical skills to accurately handle petty cash, vouchers, and financial records.

The ability to pay close attention to details, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions and record-keeping.

Good organizational skills to maintain financial records, documents, and files efficiently.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for interactions with colleagues and sometimes external stakeholders.

Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word) and financial software for data entry and basic financial calculations.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in the accounts field will be an added advantage.
