Maldives Business School is seeking a meticulous and organized Academic Support Officer to join our academic department. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our academic processes, from managing student records to coordinating examination requests.
The Role
As an Academic Support Officer, you will be responsible for the integrity of student data and the efficient distribution of academic resources. You will serve as a central point of communication for the Registrar’s Office, ensuring that student requests are handled promptly and in compliance with institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Records Management: Review, track, and update student profiles in the main database daily to ensure total data accuracy.
- Registrar’s Office Communication: Monitor incoming emails and ensure all correspondence is forwarded to the appropriate staff for timely processing.
- Academic Resource Management: Upload and categorize lecture materials, assignment briefs, and revision resources to designated platforms.
- Exam & Submission Tracking: Manage requests for late or redo examinations and monitor regular semester-wise submissions, including checking Turnitin links.
- Inter-departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with faculty and the finance department to process student requests and report on marking delays.
- Reporting: Provide regular weekly or monthly updates on the progress of academic tasks and ongoing projects.

Working Conditions
- Type: Full-time (On-site).
- Schedule: Standard Saturday to Thursday schedule, with extended hours required during peak academic periods.
- Environment: Office-based role involving regular interaction with students, faculty, and internal teams.
