The Apprenticeship Programme under the Maldives COVID-19 Emergency Income Support Project (MCEISP) aims to target certificate level trainings
(apprenticeship programmes approved by Maldives National Skill Development
Authority - MNSDA) with an important aim of to ensure the skill-based trainings
are geared towards wider re‐employability and expanding the skills horizon of workers.
The
apprenticeship programme will be implemented with the support of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). The programme would support individuals with an opportunity to gain direct on-the-job experience in priority
trades.
